Moab 2011

Last weekend we went to Moab with our good friends the Hardy family. We left after school on friday which was the last day of school so we were ready for some celebrating. We had never been to Moab before so we were excited. We got there Friday evening. We went out to dinner and enjoyed visiting and playing games with our friends. Saturday we packed up and went to Arches National Park. Most of the day we spent hiking to Delicate Arch which was a LONG hike. It took us about 2 1/2 hours to complete. I am so proud of all my kids for hiking that hard of a hike not to mention it got up around 90 degrees that day. They did such a great job. Some of the hike was very steep. Andy had to carry Ethan for some of it but we made it and it was so worth it. The view of the Arch was so cool. After we got back from Arches we went to this yummy italian place for dinner. We also did a little shopping and walking around Moab. Sunday we packed up and headed to Dead horse point. I don't have any pictures of that because my camera battery died but it was also cool to see. After Dead horse point we headed back home. We had a great little family get away and we enjoyed spending time with the Hardy's.

We found this rock that looked like a toilet.

Kindergaten Graduation

Friday was Abby's Kindergarten graduation. They had such a cute program. They sang a bunch of fun songs and Abby new every single song by heart. I felt like I knew all the songs too because she had been singing them for weeks at home. We are so proud of Abby and everything she has learned this year. She has grown up so much this year. Abby has been counting down for weeks to when she will be officially in 1st grade. She loves school and she can't wait to start going all day and of course start eating lunch at school. I am a little sad for her kindergarten year to end because she is just growing up way to fast. I have enjoyed all of the fun and adorable things she has done this year. Her teacher Mrs. Hutchings has been great. She loves being a Kindergarten teacher and she loves all of her students.

Abby and Hailey her best friend in class. They had so much fun together this year. They ride the bus together and have several play dates. They are going to be in the same dance classes next year.

6th grade graduation

Last Friday Haylee had her 6th grade graduation. It was a day filled with so many emotions. I was sad that my oldest child will no longer be going to elementary school but very happy and excited for all the new and fun experiences she will have in Jr. High school. Andy and I are so proud of Haylee. We love watching her grow into such a wonderful girl and we are so lucky to have her as our daughter. The graduation was fun to watch. They had several students give the typical graduation speech. They talked about their favorite memories from 6th grade. Each class took turns walking up the stage to get their envelopes from their teacher and shaking hands with all the 6th grade teachers. All the 6th grade teachers have been great this year and Haylee has loved them.
