Last weekend we went to Moab with our good friends the Hardy family. We left after school on friday which was the last day of school so we were ready for some celebrating. We had never been to Moab before so we were excited. We got there Friday evening. We went out to dinner and enjoyed visiting and playing games with our friends. Saturday we packed up and went to Arches National Park. Most of the day we spent hiking to Delicate Arch which was a LONG hike. It took us about 2 1/2 hours to complete. I am so proud of all my kids for hiking that hard of a hike not to mention it got up around 90 degrees that day. They did such a great job. Some of the hike was very steep. Andy had to carry Ethan for some of it but we made it and it was so worth it. The view of the Arch was so cool. After we got back from Arches we went to this yummy italian place for dinner. We also did a little shopping and walking around Moab. Sunday we packed up and headed to Dead horse point. I don't have any pictures of that because my camera battery died but it was also cool to see. After Dead horse point we headed back home. We had a great little family get away and we enjoyed spending time with the Hardy's.
Delicate Arch
We found this rock that looked like a toilet.
That hike can be pretty difficult at some points. Plus when we went (about a month ago) it wasn't nearly that hot yet. You guys got some good pics. Glad you had fun.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are amazing! I'm super impressed that you all did the hike in that kind of heat. It's an intense climb. Arches is definitely one of my favorite national parks in the West. I love all your pics!
