In January we went on a Mexican Rivera Cruise with my family to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. My parents had been planning this cruise for a couple of years and they took my entire family including all the kids. We had so much fun. We had a few unexpected changes that came upon us to start out our cruise, but we rolled with the punches and still had a great time. 2 days before leaving for our cruise we got an email from Carnival that our ship was stuck in Puerta Vallarta and that our cruise was going to be delayed. Instead of leaving on Sunday we did not leave until Monday. We had already made arrangements to fly out on Saturday and so we stuck with our plans and we ended up having all day Sunday to spend in Long Beach while we waited to bored our ship on Monday.
On Sunday we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. The kids loved it. It was a really neat Aquarium. We met up with my sister Lisa and her family and hung out with them for the day.
Monday we finally borded our cruise ship and left long beach for our 5 day cruise headed to Cabo San Lucas. The first couple of days we had sea days. The kids had fun hanging out in Camp Carnival and also spending time with their cousins.
The first day Camp carnival had a party for all the kids and their parents. We danced and played games and it was a fun way to kick off the start of our cruise.

The second night we had a formal night for dinner. If was fun getting all dressed up. We also celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary that night. We surprised them with a cake and all the waiters sang to them. We also gave them his and her watches and a certificate to a nice dinner when they get home. It was a really fun night.

Celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary
On Wednesday and Thursday of our Cruise we stopped in Cabo San Lucas. Cabo was are only port on this cruise because they canceled our Peurto Vallarta stop. The first day in Cabo we spend the day on a private Catamaran tour with just our family. We went whale watching and we were able to see a few amazing whales close up. We had so much fun and this was the highlight of our trip. The cousins had so much fun hanging out with each other and dancing on the boat. The second day at Cabo we only had a few hours so we spent the day shopping. The girls loved shopping for souvenirs and they also enjoyed watching me trying to barter with the locals to get a good price.
